Troubleshooting Your Scanner
It’s no fun when your scanner radio won’t work right.
Here are some steps that you can do to troubleshoot a setup that no longer works correctly.
What you need to know
Several things can go wrong when it comes to your scanner..
What to look at when troubleshooting:
Are your batteries charged?
Does your scanner work under battery power? What if you use your wall adapter?
On your desktop/mobile scanner, do you have 12v?
Are your fuses blown?
If you have an external antenna, is it still where it should be?
Did any critters eat your coax?
Is your BNC connector fully turned and not loose?
I have a few more suggestions on this week’s podcast.
