Imagine not being able to see what your scanner is doing

Now Imagine learning to use your scanner and program it with just screen reader software.

This is how Pete has to use his scanners.

What you need to know

Pete De Vasto is a self taught scanner radio user and he is blind.

Today Pete and I talk about the struggles he has programming his radios, and how some tweaks and changes to programming software and radio interfaces could make things a lot easier for those who are visually impaired.

I was quiet impressed by how Pete was able to learn to navigate the complex menu systems and setup his radios.
